Retired Military Dog Reunites with Former Handler and Finds a Home for Thanksgiving

Eight-year-old Belgian Malinois Yyacob reunited with his former handler and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant, Payton May, in San Antonio, Texas, on Monday, Nov. 25, animal welfare organization American Humane shared in a press release with PEOPLE.

Retiree Sets Sights on World Record for Fastest Wheelbarrow: 'He's Been Very Determined,' Says Wife

An Iowa man is hoping his speedy wheelbarrow drive will result in an official Guinness World Record. Loghry, a retiree, told WHO he was looking to fill up his time and get out of his house when he heard about the record for the fastest motorized wheelbarrow. “I was out there just tinkering with stuff, and I made a motorized wheelbarrow. I wondered how fast it could go and I wondered if there was a record,” Loghry said.

Revisit Phil Donahue's Final Sign-Off from His Namesake Talk Show in 1996

In 1996, the television personality — who died on Aug. 18 at age 88 — signed off from his namesake talk show with a champagne-soaked celebration. After thanking the crew of his long-running show (later renamedDonahue) as well as the media for their interest in the farewell episode, a staffer asked if he would be “mad” if they poured champagne over his head and he replied, “Not at all.” The group then proceeded to pour several bottles of champagne on him as he lamented that he had “a great speech ready” for the farewell episode.
