Roger Cook, an expert landscaper who starred onThis Old Housefor almost 40 years, died on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 70.
The home improvement show host and passionate landscaper joined the PBS program in 1982. He became a full-time landscape contractor on the series in 1988 and was a fixture onAsk This Old Housewhen it premiered in 2002.

Harlequin is hitting the screen!
On Thursday, Oct 10, the romance publisherannouncedthat it will be teaming up with the independent production company Centinel Media to release up to 28 movies and series over a span of three years starting in 2025.
The movies will be “uplifting romantic entertainment” adapted from a selection of Harlequin books with the intent to create “one cinematic universe,” according to a press release.

Soap opera star Ron Hale has died. He was 78.
Born Ronald Hale Thigpen, Hale portrayed Roger Coleridge on ABC’sRyan’s Hopefor the entirety of its run, as well as the father of mobster Sonny Corinthos in the network’s long-running soap opera,General Hospital. He died on Aug. 27, according to anobituary.
A cause of death has not yet been revealed at this time.

Adding to the nostalgia, the former costars gathered on a recreated set of the show’s iconic Arnold’s Drive-In. The set recreated everything from the show, including the sports pennants on the wall, the red leather booths, a pinball machine and even a vintage Hi-Fidelity jukebox.
