It all started when the Columbus, Ohio, local and her boyfriend, Brandon, began digging up their lawn to build a fence. While shoveling, they stumbled upon something unusual: a rug buried deep in the ground. They found it odd but didn’t think much of it at the time.

Jaycee Rolfalways knew she wanted to have a natural at labor at home in Alabama. But, on March 2, when the family nurse practitioner began experiencing contractions every 3 to 5 minutes, she decided to go to the hospital, even though her water hadn’t broken.
Rolf, her husband, their doula and Rolf’s mom got into their white Ford Explorer and drove the 35 minutes to the hospital.

Melanie Garcia always joked that her dog Nala was a “dog in a human’s body.”
Garcia, a veteran, adopted Nala, a Chihuahua, when she was 20 and in the military. Over the years, they became best friends, sharing countless adventures — from beach outings and playing in the sand to traveling across the country.
Nala was Garcia’s first dog she owned as an adult — the first one she truly had to care for and understand what it means to be a dog parent.

A California woman has found a bone belonging to a missing man who she happened to know as a child.
The tibia bone belonging to Mark Burleigh waslocated on July 6in the South Fork of the Eel River in the Redway area, according to news releases from theHumboldt County Sheriff’s Office(HCSO).
