However, Sherburne County investigators revisited the case last year with help from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the FBI, with a breakthrough in the case leading to them identifying the child’s mother, according to CBS News.
The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for more information on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Tiffany Murray, 42, of Staten Island, was originally expecting her newborn to arrive on July 26, the same day as her aunt’s birthday.
Instead, Miracle was born prematurely on April 2 at just 23 weeks.
Murray says the unexpected birth came after she began experiencing contractions. “I went to my doctor’s appointment and I found out I was one-and-a-half centimeters [dilated],” she tells PEOPLE on Friday, Sept. 6. “They admitted me right there.

With the tragedy taking place on the UK’s bonfire night celebration, which sees a night of bonfires and fireworks displays, the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has called for tighter restrictions on fireworks.
“Roxie had recently lost her mum Ginger but was responding well to specialist care from our expert team and was feeding independently,” Ben Supple, RZSS deputy chief executive, said in the statement.
