A multi-vehicle crash on a Washington state highway over the weekend killed a 13-year-old boy and left his father injured.
The boy was identified as Zion Powers, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) announced, per theSpokesman-Review,Moscow-Pullman Newsand radio stationKXLY.
The WSP said that Stephen Powers was driving south when he lost control of his semi-truck and trailer due to ice. Powers’ vehicle then jackknifed across the northbound lanes, theSpokesman-Reviewreported.

A 13-year-old was allegedly backing a minivan into a man’s driveway when the teen “rapidly accelerated,” running the man over, according to New York State Police.

A missing14-year-old and her 3-week-old newbornhave been found days after reportedly disappearing in Los Angeles, authorities said.
Amoria Brown and her daughter, Omoria Brown, who has a heart condition and requires daily medication, first went missing on Aug. 25 around 10 p.m. local time in the East L.A. area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said Amoria and her daughter, along with Amoria’s 15-year-old sister-in-law, Sanaii Brown, were believed to be heading to the “high desert area with family.
