I know it all seems so crazy in retrospect. Everything seems to make sense until you come home and tell people.
The intention was to go down and intercept the largest iceberg in recorded history. I thought taking these risks really mattered for our understanding of the planet and the changes that we were facing moving forward, but I was nervous.
Jill Heinerth became the first person to dive into an iceberg.

“A couple years ago I did a piece on SNL as Goober the Clown who had an abortion the day before her 23rd birthday. I’m happy to report that same clown is now very happily pregnant from IVF at 40,” the soon-to-be mom shared in her caption.
She continued in her caption to share her fear surrounding the upcoming election as a woman who got pregnant with the help of in vitro fertilization (IVF).

It explores contact with the first European settlers, to the forced removal of Indigenous children, to the present-day fight for clean water.
In what Catapult calls “beautiful, spare prose,” Peters “describes the dignity of the traditional way of life, the humiliations of systemic racism and the resilient power to endure.
