One Colorado man lost both legs in a freak accident on his first day of work on Monday, Sept. 23, according toThe Denver PostandTimes Call.
John O’Neill, 33, said he “technically died” after he suffered an accident while working on a wood chipper in Longmont, Colo.
At 10:18 a.m., 15 minutes into his first day of work, O’Neill placed a fish-hook-shaped branch into the machine, perThe Denver Post.

The reptiles are now in the late summer period when they typically give birth. Researchers monitoring the Colorado den’s livestream — available to view onYouTubeorRattleCam.org—have witnessed numerous new, young snakes slithering through shots.
Earlier this year, the California Polytechnic State University Bailey College of Science and Mathematics (Cal Poly) set up a high-tech solar-powered camera system to live stream the northern Colorado rattlesnake “mega-den” from May until October so researchers and animal lovers can observe the rattlesnakes.

Two residents from Colorado have been charged after allegedly trespassing and stealing artifacts from a historic cowboy camp.
The attorney’s office claims the pair “entered a fenced-off area of Canyonlands National Park where they then handled and stole numerous historic artifacts preserved in the Cave Springs Cowboy Camp.”

An American woman was killed in a vehicular crash in Scotland while walking her two huskies, said Scottish authorities.
In a Tuesday, Oct. 22 news release fromPolice Scotland, the woman was identified as Emilie Anne Parker, 30, who was from Colorado and recently moved to Scotland to pursue her studies.
The police also noted that emergency responders were present, butParker and her dogs died at the scene.
