Four people were shot and killed on a Chicago commuter train on the morning of Labor Day, Sept. 2. A suspect, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested.
Police were called just before 5:30 a.m., and when they arrived they found four victims, three of whom were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and later pronounced dead, according to the release.

The young girl was identified as “Princess Zoey,” per aGoFundMepage set up to help raise funds for the family. According to local media outletKMPH Fox 26, the toddler’s full name is Zoey Hawkins.
Police confirmed the child “had just finished swimming and was inside the home when the incident occurred,” per the release.

“Despite immediate medical attention and being transported to the hospital, she sadly passed away from her injuries,” the release continued.

“She’s been around this dog for two-plus years,” Zoey’s cousin Pearl Vargas told Fox 28. “Her and the dog would always play with each other. They would always be around each other. So we have no clue on what the reason was or why the dog even did this in the first place.
