PGA Tour champion and Golf Hall of Famer Juan “Chi Chi” Rodriguez has died at age 88.
On Thursday, Aug. 8, the PGA Tour confirmed the news. “A showman on the course, a tireless philanthropist off the course. World Golf Hall of Famer Chi Chi Rodriguez has passed away at age 88,” the organizerposted on X(formerly Twitter).

A family friend of the golfer Brian Harman is in a coma after she tried to save his 6-year-old son from drowning.
Cathy Dowdy was seriously injured in the Oct. 13 incident in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.,Harman told reportersahead of the RSM Classic on St. Simons Island, Ga. on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
“[Dowdy] went in the water after my son,” Harman, who was in China at a golf tournament at the time of the accident, said.

The father of late pro golfer Grayson Murray is opening up about a conversation he had with his son shortly before his tragic death.
Murray’s father Eric told the outlet that “the two men cried” while they sat together in the living room of their Raleigh, N.C., home. Eric then recalled that his son said, “I don’t want to be here anymore.”
The next day,Golf Digestreported, Murray played in the Wells Fargo Championship, which took place from May 6 to May 12 in Charlotte.
