Cleotha Abston, 40, pleaded guilty to the Sept. 2, 2022 kidnapping and killing of the 34-year-old mother of two and Memphis kindergarten teacher who had been out for a morning run at the time of her death. Abston faced multiple charges, including first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence. His trial was scheduled to start on Feb. 10.
Abston was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, District Attorney Steve Mulroy said.

An Ohio man convicted of killing his girlfriend with a hammer and dumping her body in an abandoned Mother Goose-themed park was sentenced to 29 years to life in prison.
On Friday, Nov. 8, Sean Goe, 27, of Plain Township, was found guilty of murder, felonious assault, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence in the murder of Raychel Sheridan, 24, court records show.

Sundquist, who lost his leg to cancer at age 9, believes this is “one of the funniest” costumes he has created.

One man has been arrested after allegedly trying to cremate his dog and then starting a wildfire, named the Bucktail Fire, in Nucla, Colo., in early August, according to theAssociated Press,The Denver PostandThe Montrose Daily Press.
The commander then met with state fire investigators and discovered a dug-out cave in the spot where the fire originated.
