While speaking on Sept. 7 at Godmothers, a bookstore near her home in Montecito, California, Meghan reflected on the last time she popped into a bookstore — this time in New York City in 2019, while still a working royal. (Meghan and her husband,Prince Harry, stepped back from their roles as working royals the next year, in 2020.

Princess Lilibethas already “found her voice.”
“I find inspiration in so many of the strong women that are around me, of course, my mother being one of them,” she said.
“So much of how I approach things is through the lens of less about the fight — that’s not interesting to me — and more about how do we show up in a space and wash things over with love and kindness and generosity,” Meghan, 43, added on the final day of her four-day trip to Colombia withPrince Harry.

In a new interview withThe New York Timespublished on Aug. 28, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, revealed that she invested in the female-founded, sustainably sourced handbag brandCesta Collective— and spoke about how she is investing in herself, as well.
Meghan referenced how the global interest in her style following her engagement toPrince Harryin 2017 “changed everything” about her approach to fashion and later led her to invest in brands she believes in.
