A 2024 Miss Teen Rodeo winner has died in a car crash in Kansas.
The single-vehicle collision occurred at a Y intersection and a private drive when an 18-year-old Colorado man driving Brungardt and her four teammates in a 2007 Ford F-250 truck veered “between the Y striking a tree row.” This caused the vehicle to flip and land upright.
The driver and Brungardt’s four teammates, whose ages ranged from 18-20, were transported to Citizens Medical Center for their injuries.

Miss USA 2024says her mom’s past food insecurity spurred her research in the field.
On Sunday, Alma Cooper bested 51 other contestants including first-runner-up Miss Kentucky Connor Perry and second-runner-up Miss Oklahoma Danika Christopherson to take the title.
Cooper, 22, is a 2023 graduate of West Point and is currently aKnight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford Universitypursuing a master’s in statistics and intends to focus her research on food insecurity — a topic she feels personally connected to.

A man who went missing while kayaking with his family at a California lake has been safely found, authorities said.Metro Fire of Sacramento said that the unidentified man, 57, of Cameron Park, Calif., was found miles away at a grocery store in El Dorado Hills early Tuesday morning on Sept. 3, NBC affiliateKCRA, CBS affiliateKOVRand FOX affiliateKTXLreported.The day before, on Monday, Sept. 2, the man had been kayaking at Lake Natoma with his family, authorities said, per KCRA.

A week afterGrant Marcuccio went missing, the mountaineer was found dead on Sunday, Aug. 25, in Montana’s Glacier National Park, according to officials.
Officials said that while hiking fromHeavens PeaktoMcPartland Peakhe “separated from his party,” but “planned to rendezvous at a designated location.” That night, after he never showed up, the group alerted rangers.

According to local news outletFox 17 West Michigan, Deanna and Denny Suggitt of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. found Barley in July 2023. Barley went missing from the dog’s owners while camping in Tahquamenon Falls.
Barley’s original owners posted about the missing pet, who happens to be skittish (or easily scared), on Facebook and even made several 10-hour drives to the campsite to keep searching. However, after so many trips, the owners relinquished ownership of Barley, reports TheDetroit Free Press.
