Officials in India are looking into the death of an Ernst & Young employee, whose mom said she died as a result of her “overwhelming workload.”
The 26-year-old’s mother alleged in her letter, sent via email to Ernst & Young India’s chairman, Rajiv Memani, that her daughter “worked tirelessly at EY,” but “the workload, new environment, and the long hours took a toll on her physically, emotionally, and mentally.

A Canadian woman is speaking out after surviving a grizzly bear attack thanks to a hair clip and her dog.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on June 30 on the Trans Canada Trail, according to a news release fromYukon Conservation Officer Services.
Vanessa Chaput, 24, toldTodayshe and her German shepherd, Luna, were jogging along a paved trail when they turned a corner and came face-to-face with three bears. A fourth was apparently lurking behind her as well.

Williams, then 24, was initially arrested in October 2017 after she claimed to officers that she discovered her 1-and 2-year-old sons dead after leaving them with a caregiver for the day,PEOPLE previously reported, citing Atlanta police.
Police who responded to the scene found the boys, who were identified as Ja’Karter Penn, 1, and Ke’Yaunte Penn, 2, with burn marks, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

A Colorado mother has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with her 2-month-old son’s death in 2023, according to aBoulder County news release.
After her Aug. 7 guilty plea, Anna Englund, 31, was immediately sentenced to 40 years in prison. As part of the plea deal, first-degree murder charges were dropped against Englund, who strangled son Miles Basellio to death.
