4 Killed in Georgia School Shooting Identified: 'Truly Heartbroken'

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the fatal victims in a post onX, formerly Twitter, as students Mason Schermerhorn, 14, and Christian Angulo, 14, as well as teachers Richard Aspinwall, 39 and Christina Irimie, 53.

On aGoFundMecampaign created to help offset funeral expenses, Angulo’s sister said his loss was “so sudden and unexpected.”

“We are truly heartbroken,” Lisette Angulo wrote on the fundraising page. “He really didn’t deserve this.”

During a press conference on Wednesday, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey said that nine others were hospitalized with injuries following the shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga.

Thealleged shooterwas identified as 14-year-old Colt Gray, a student at the high school, according to Hosey. He is expected to be tried as an adult with murder, authorities said.

School Superintendent Dallas LeDuff said schools in the district will remain closed for the rest of the week.
