Adam Sandler Is All About the 'Love' as He Returns to Netflix for His First Comedy Special in 6 Years

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, Netflix released the trailer for theGrown Upsstar’s upcoming stand-up comedy special,Adam Sandler: Love You.

Not only is the special Josh Safdie’s standup directorial debut, but it also marks Sandler’s return to the stage. The actor’s last comedy special,100% Fresh, was released in 2018.

As for what fans can expect, Sandler address the crowd in the teaser, “I talk a lot and then I sing and we do a bunch of s—. So alright, here it goes.”

The comedian serenades the crowd with a riff of his guitar. When fans erupt in cheers, he announces that the song he’s about to play was written about a man sitting in the audience.

After shots of excited fans chasing after cars and handing out high fives, Sandler admits, “We’ve lost control,” and a dog joins him on stage. “What the f— is happening?” he asks as the pup seeks out members in the audience.

The trailer also features clips of Sandler making funny faces, cracking jokes and telling the crowd “I love you” before diving into another bit.

Sandler’s new special comes after hisI Missed You Tour,which he announced in September 2023 through a post shared to Instagram.

“Let’s have some fun,” Sandler captioned a short trailer, which included clips of him playing the guitar, taking some crowd selfies at a handful of shows and getting plenty of laughs.

The run of shows followed theUncut Gemsactor’sAdam Sandler LIVEgigs, which concluded in April.
