In 2023, LimacelebratedVictoria’s Secret’s move towards inclusivity.
Victoria’s Secret’s emphasis on inclusion started in 2019 when the brand faced pushback on a lack of body diversity which led to the fashion show being cancelled. The brand began advertising more body diversity and tried to make stores more welcoming with brighter lights and pale pink walls.
“I feel that as a woman, and still being in fashion — I’m 42 years old and a mom with five kids, so I feel that I’m still being celebrated in this stage of my life,” Lima told PEOPLE at the time. “It’s great to see that no matter what stage you are [in life], for my kids and the new models coming up, it’s uplifting.”
