PriscillaandElvis Presleywelcomed one daughter together,Lisa Marie Presley, who went on to have four children of her own.

Though Elvis died before his grandchildren were born, Priscilla was able to have a close relationship with Lisa Marie’s children. The late singer, whodied on Jan. 12 at the age of 54, welcomed her first daughter,Riley, with her then-husband Danny Keough in May 1989. Their second child together, Benjamin, was born shortly after in October 1992.

Lisa Marie split with Danny two years after welcoming Benjamin and remarried to Michael Lockwood in January 2006. Together, the two welcomed twins Finley and Harper in October 2008.

Priscilla became a great-grandmother when Riley welcomed her first child, Tupelo, in August 2022 with her husband Ben Smith-Petersen.

Elvis’ former wife has worked hard at ensuring her grandchildren would grow up knowing as much about their grandfather and his legacy as they could, despite his death years before they were born. Priscilla told PEOPLE in 2017 that she would play Elvis’ music for her youngest granddaughters when they were little.

“The twins know much about their grandfather. How famous he is, his love of Graceland, his movies and his songs,” she said. “They can hear one of his songs on the radio and right away know that’s his voice.”

From how Priscilla helped raise them to their relationship with her now, here’s everything to know about Priscilla and Elvis Presley’s four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In September 2007, Riley made her talk show debut onThe Oprah Winfrey Show, where she shared that she grew up with her family showing her photo albums of Elvis, but it wasn’t made into “this huge thing.”

Lisa Marie welcomed her twins, Finley Aaron Love and Harper Vivienne Anne, on Oct. 7, 2008. Priscilla was present for the twins’ birth, tellingEntertainment Tonightthat becoming a grandmother again was “a dream come true” and “a real delight.”

“Entering into the room and seeing these two babies…it’s been pretty terrific,” she said.

When the twins were 8 years old, Lisa Marie filed for divorce from Lockwood, starting a contentious custody battle. During that time, Finley and Harperlived with Priscilladespite reports that they were in “protective custody.”

The doting grandmother cleared up the confusion with a post onFacebook, including photos of the girls enjoying their time swimming at her pool.

“There is Lots of confusion, commotion and concern from all the talk circulating,” Priscilla wrote under the photo. “Let me put this to rest … the girls have not been in foster care and never will be. The girls have been with me and will be until all this is sorted out.”

While the twins lived with Priscilla, they enjoyed going to bookstores and reading to their grandmother, she told PEOPLE in September 2017. Priscilla added that she took the time to “really listen” to her youngest grandchildren during that period.

“I’ve learned to really listen to what [the girls are] saying,” she said. “They have so much to contribute in their opinions, their viewpoints and questions. I value that very much.”

A week later, Priscillawrote a tributeto her grandson onFacebook, lamenting his death and how it has affected her family.

“These are some of the darkest days of my family’s life. The shock of losing Ben has been devastating,” she wrote. “Trying to put all the pieces together of all the possible whys has penetrated my soul. Each day I wake up I pray it will get better.”

Riley started her career off as a model in 2004 but soon pivoted into acting, including roles in 2015’sMad Max: Fury Roadand 2020’sThe Devil All the Time. However, her big break came in 2023 when she played the titular character in the Amazon Prime Video seriesDaisy Jones & The Six.

Riley told PEOPLE ahead of the show’s premiere that the story was especially horrifying given her sisters were teens as well.

“I have sisters that are the same agethat I’m very, very close to, so it totally hits close to home in that regard,” she said. “The sort of things they go through, it’s not dissimilar. It’s obviously not this horrific, but the interactions, the bullying, all of that is very much still alive and well, and I think that it certainly hits home for me with regards to them.”

“Thank you for showing me love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters,” he read.

Seven months later, Rileyrevealed her daughter’s namein a cover story withVanity Fair. She explained that Tupelo was named after Elvis’ hometown, while Storm was a tribute to her late brother’s middle name.

“It’s funny because we picked her name before theElvismovie,” she told the outlet. “I was like, ‘This is great because it’s not really a well-known word or name in relation to my family — it’s not like Memphis or something.' "

“Then when theElvismovie came out, it was like, Tupelo this and Tupelo that. I was like, ‘Oh, no,’ ” Riley added. “But it’s fine.”

She also shared that while she could “carry children,” she chose to welcome Tupelo via surrogate due to what she “had going on physically with the autoimmune stuff,” referring to her Lyme disease diagnosis.

Amid the legal turmoil, rumors — which both have since shut down — surfaced that Riley and Priscilla were at odds with one another. However, in June 2023, Priscilla wrote in a declaration that she waspleased with the outcome of the settlement.

“We have learned that the fans realize that we are ‘Just a Family.’ Elvis would be proud and his and Lisa’s wishes are what are most important to all of us,” she wrote.

She continued, “My granddaughter, through her counsel, along with my team worked diligently and tirelessly to resolve all misunderstandings as a family.”

Riley echoed her grandmother’s sentiments in her interview withVanity Fair, sharing that she and Priscilla were never not on good terms.

“Things with Grandma will be happy. They’ve never not been happy,” she said. “There was a bit of upheaval, but now everything’s going to be how it was.”

Riley added, “She’s a beautiful woman, and she was a huge part of creating my grandfather’s legacy and Graceland… It’s a big responsibility she has tried to take on. None of that stuff has really ever been a part of our relationship prior. She’s just been my grandma.”

In the following weeks, Priscilla doubled down in an interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, again stating that she and Riley were always “on good terms.”

“Riley is now the executor, which should be right, obviously, being her daughter,” she told the outlet. “We were never not on good terms. That was all publicity.”

She added that she was having dinner with Riley that evening and that both “understand what needs to be done.”

“I’m there for her. She knows that. She wants me there for her to help her,” Priscilla said.

Like her grandmother, Riley is protective of Elvis' former home, Graceland. In May 2024, Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC claimed Lisa Marie borrowed $3.8 million and gave the company a deed of trust encumbering Graceland as security before her death.

As a result, they planned to sell Graceland on May 23. However, Rileysued the company, claiming that the note was forged and fraudulent.

“The purported note and deed of trust are products of fraud and those individuals who were involved in the creation of such documents are believed to be guilty of the crime of forgery,” Riley alleged in the suit, adding that the LLC may not even be “a real entity.”

Soon after filing, a judgeblocked the saleand, hours later, the LLCdropped all claimson the property.

Riley helped complete Lisa Marie’s memoir

Before Lisa Marie died, Riley had been helping her mom write her memoir — a task she carried on with after her death with the help of tapes that she’d recorded while she was still alive.

“Because my mother was Elvis Presley’s daughter, she was constantly talked about, argued over and dissected,” Riley told PEOPLE in September 2024. “Whatshe wanted to do in her memoir, and what I hope I’ve done in finishing it for her, is to go beneath the magazine headline idea of her and reveal the core of who she was. To turn her into a three-dimensional human being: the best mother, a wild child, a fierce friend, an underrated artist, frank, funny, traumatized, joyous, grieving, everything that she was throughout her remarkable life.”

Riley went on to say that her mission in writing the memoir was to “give voice to my mother in a way that eluded her while she was alive.”

“[My mom] wanted to write a book in the hopes that someone could read her story and relate to her, to know that they’re not alone in the world. Her hope with this book was just human connection,” she added.

The memoir, titledFrom Here to the Great Unknown, was released on Oct. 8, 2024.
