Allison Holker Reveals Daughter's Response to Concerns About Selling Family Home They Shared with Stephen 'tWitch' Boss

Allison Holkeris looking back on one of the harder decisions she had to make for her family followingStephen ‘tWitch’ Boss' death.

“I went to my daughter while we were grieving, I said to her, ‘Are you comfortable moving?’ " Holker Boss recalls. “And she said, ‘Mom, we’ve been waiting for you.'”

The mom of three —Zaia, 4, andMaddox, 8, and Weslie, 16 — says that the home “was our security blanket for a really long time.”

“We loved that home. It always felt so safe to us, but it did take a turn,” Holker Boss admits.

“A lot of people don’t talk about that after grief. I was holding on to these past emotions thinking it was saving me, but it started to swallow us.”

“It was a very, very big decision to uproot my children. Their lives had already been so changed, I was like, ‘Is this okay for me to do this to them?’ It was the best decision, for us.”

Holker Boss explains that moving provided the family with a new space “that became our sanctuary.”

“It was like the final step to our healing, where now we could leave that in the past and we could finally take a step forward for each other. It became freedom. It was a place for us to find solace and create new memories and new beginnings and fresh starts and everyone kind of felt like a weight was lifted off our shoulders,” she says.

Still, she did not take the decision lightly — from a personal or a financial perspective.

“It’s a very big decision. We’re already grieving, I’m already going through all these financial conversations with all my team and rewrite contracts to figure out when I can come back to work… And now I have to move. Moving is a hard task. There’s a lot that goes into it.”
