American Girl Just Launched the Most Amazingly Millennial Halloween Costumes for Adults

Calling all kids of the ’80s and ’90s: your dream Halloween costumes are here!

American Girl recently released its annual Halloween costumes — and this year, adults can also dress up as their favorite dolls.

Last week, the brand posted onInstagramto announce the launch of its new American Girl doll Halloween costumes, which are available in both adult and kid sizes.

“Dress as favorite AG characters this Halloween with costumes for kids and adults," the brand wrote beneath a carousel of images of models donning eight historical doll costumes.

Fans can choose from eight characters: 1854’s frontier girl Kirsten, 1934’s Kit Kittredge, 1944’s Molly, 1904’s Samantha, 1986’s Courtney, 1974’s Julie, 1954’s Maryellen and 1964’s Melody.

Kirsten, Samantha and Molly are among the original American Girl characters to be released as dolls in 1986. The characters were initially pulled from periods through American history but over time, more contemporary characters were introduced.

Costumes include recreations of the dolls' full outfits (minus the shoes) but additional accessories — like matching wigs for Kirsten, Kit, Molly, Samantha, Julie and Courtney — can also be purchased.

Also available this year is theAmerican Girl Doll Box Costumethat can be added on top of any of the character outfits to complete the look and make Halloween revelers look more like a boxed doll than the character herself.
