TheAmerican Piegang got into wild shenanigans both on and offscreen.
“I didn’t go with them, but I remember when you guys all went to the naughty club for lunch,” said Reid, who starred as Vicky Lathum. “The strip club.”
The group said it happened during the making ofAmerican Pie 2, which premiered in 2001. Reid noted while they debated which movie’s production it happened during, “No, notAmerican Reunion. That strip club, I came with you guys.”
“We show up for rehearsal forAmerican Pie 2and our director was a wonderful man named J.B. Rogers. We sat around and we small talked for about five minutes and there was kind of a lull in the conversation,” Thomas, who played Paul Finch, recalled.
“He goes, ‘You want to go to the strip club across the street?’ and we were like, ‘Yeah, we want to go to the strip club across the street. It seems appropriate.’ And I don’t think we rehearsed. Did we run any lines?“Klein, who starred as Chris Ostreicher, chimed in to say, “I don’t think so.”
“J.B. basically said, ‘You guys know your characters more than I could ever help you,’ " Nicholas, who played Kevin Myers, added, “And I’m pretty sure you guys all bought me my very first lap dance at that strip club.”
To that revelation, Thomas said, “There you go,” as Klein added, “You’re welcome!”
