Delvey, who was voted off in a double elimination with Spelling on Sept. 24, shockedDWTSfans when hostJulianne Houghasked her what she was taking away from her experience and she bluntly replied, “Nothing."

“You guys told me what I’m supposed to do. I tried to do it and then I still was rejected. And, I’m taking away nothing. This is what I’m taking away from it, because your advice was worthless,” she explained.

“The advice … did not pay off for me, even though I tried to follow it. And this is how I felt,” she continued. “I know… people were trying to interpret my answer in different ways, but no, not really. I really did not take away much from this experience.”

“I think I had to be on the defensive, especially after all the backlash that I received being cast on the show, even though the producers [tried] to defend me,” she said. “And I think everyone on the cast was generally very nice to me. But in the end, I don’t know.”

Delvey then shared that she found the result, in which she was eliminated before other contestants, “a little bit unbelievable.”

DWTSdid not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Earlier, when Spelling had also brought up her “nothing” comment, Delvey gave some more thoughts on the matter.

“Because I felt like, well, they were building me up. It’s like, oh, well, ‘Only if you smile more, only if you do like x y z. It’s going to be so much better for you.’ And it felt like they put so much effort trying to get me on the show, like, make me feel comfortable just to… eliminate me this early,” Delvey said.

The formerDWTScompetitor also said she saw her and Spelling being voted off as “an attempt of an embarrassment for us to get eliminated before [contestants]Eric [Roberts] andReginald [VelJohnson].” She had also noted during the podcast that she believed she and Spelling were better dancers.

Delvey said that the overall experience was “a bit upsetting to me” and “felt like a waste of time … just to discard me so easily.” She also shared on the podcast her belief that the target audience ofDWTSbeing older made viewers less inclined to have voted for her.

“But it is what it is and it’s fine,” Delvey went on to reflect, also noting, “And I never had high expectations on the show for myself.”

“It just seems like it seems like it’s been mostly a negative experience at least for me than it was a positive one,” she later added.

Delvey, who wore abedazzled ankle monitoras a part of her costume while on the show, became widely known after posing as a wealthy heiress. She used her social standing to defraud people, banks and hotels leading to her arrest in 2017 and subsequent conviction of grand larceny in the first, second and third degree, as well as theft of services in 2019.
