As for Keoghan, 31, he first sparked dating rumors with Carpenter in late 2023. They made their red carpet debut in March 2024 at theVanity FairOscars afterpartybeforeattending the Met Galatogether in May.

Amid the split rumors, a source told PEOPLE on Aug. 19 that their relationship is"on and off.”

Meanwhile, on Aug. 6, Carpentergave some rare insightinto their relationship during a cover story interview withVariety.

Reflecting onthe music video for her song “Please Please Please,”where Carpenter and the actor play Bonnie and Clyde-inspired lovers, the “Espresso” singer said she loved how he brought the track to life on screen.

Carpenter told the outlet he “loved the song,” which contains cheeky references to his profession as an actor, and “he’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that.”

“I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation,” she continued. “So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”
