There’s nothing quite like matching beards to solidify a bromance. Just askBen AffleckandMatt Damon.

“We’re in the middle of it. That’s why we’re bearded,” said Damon of working on the crime thriller.

“Everything you need to know, you can see right here,” joked Affleck.

In the past few months, the stars have been slowly growing out their facial hair for what is now known as their new film.

On Sept. 30, Damon, 54, was photographed at the opening night ofMcNealin New York City with a salt-and-pepper beard complete with a mustache. And months after his split fromJennifer Lopezthis past August, Affleck, 52, was seen arriving at his offices in Los Angeles with ascruffy appearanceafter having a clean-shaven face during the summer.

“Artists Equity, we’ve made eight movies now in a couple of years and this is our first partnership with Netflix,” Affleck toldExtra, adding that they’re “figuring out” the fine details.

“We all are very excited about. We’ve got a great cast and we’re really,reallylooking forward to the movie coming out,” he added.

Affleck and Damon recently collaborated onSmall Things Like These(with Cillian Murphy) and wrestling biopicUnstoppable,whichfeatures Lopez as subjectAnthony Robles' mother Judy.

Speaking withEntertainment Tonightmonthsafter his split from Lopez,Affleckpraised his ex-wife’s performance. “Jennifer is spectacular,” he said in a November interview, also commending the rest of the cast for their work on the movie, which premiered at theToronto Film Festivalin September.

“It kind of speaks to a certain kind of thing, I guess, we’re drawn to, which is we really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved in it are deeply emotionally connected to the story,” he added.
