Billy Crystal’s life is unraveling in front of his eyes in the trailer forBefore.
In the trailer, Eli tells a therapist he’s “been accused of not being myself,” prompting the therapist to ask, “Can you identify the moment that changed?”
“Of course. It’s the day my wife died,” Eli replies.
When Noah arrives on Eli’s doorstep and won’t stop drawing a farmhouse that has a mysterious link to Eli’s past, things start to spiral.
“I never realized that,” she says.
Eli soon learns that Noah’s previous foster family “found him unnerving,” but he isn’t shying away. “I’m starting to feel like there’s a reason he found me,” Eli admits.
As he tries to help Noah work through his issues, and the bond between them seems to grow, secrets threaten to derail everything.
“I have a game for you. Put your block right int he middle, now you say something that makes you mad,” Eli tells Noah.
“People who do bad things,” he replies, before telling Eli ominously, “You know what you did.”
Though Noah seems to know something Eli is desperate to keep hidden, he’s determined to help him anyway. “If we’re connected, maybe I can save him,” Eli says in the trailer.
The chilling trailer ends with Eli standing in his house with blood on his hand before his dead wife appears to him — wet from the bath, where she was found dead — and asks, “What have you done?”
