A good outfit starts with florals — according toBlake Lively, that is.
The 36-year-old has been a busy bee these past few weeks, launching her newhaircare line, Blake Brown, posing on magazine covers, andsupporting her loved ones. She’s also been gearing up for the screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover’sIt Ends With Us,which is now in theaters, and she’s beendressing the part. Her on-screen character Lily Bloom is a florist, so naturally, her outfits have included a lot of flowers: Her$19,000 Valentino jeanswere decked out with cut-outs and embroidered buds; her 1994 vintage Vivienne Westwood dress was plastered with theceleb-favored print; and many of her mini dresses were practically sprouting petals.

If you’ve read the book, you’ll know there are references toFinding Nemo. These blue-and-white pants feel like a nautical nod to the animated film, andthey’re a more relaxed alternative to all the denim Lively’s been wearing.
One shopper described themas “amazingly comfortable” and said they “felt cool in them even with our temperatures reaching over 100 degrees.” Asecond reviewer was thrilledabout something else: “They have built-in shorts! No need to try and wear underwear that matches or worry about them being see-through.”

If Lively is making you want to grow your own collection (funny, we know) of mini dresses, Nordstrom has this little red number that’s a good way to send off summer while it’s still warm outside. It’s made with delicate lace fabric and has a moderate V-cut for ventilation. Plus, the fiery color almost matches Bloom’s hair.
If you want to extend its shelf life, fall-ify it with some tights, or wear it like a long tunic top with some leggings. You could also opt for something longer like thismidi dressthat’s still got its own floral flair and looks like something Lively has worn.

This pair of Levi’s jeans is just a slightly upgraded version of the ones inThe Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. They’re more wearable than Lively’s blinding Versace pair because they still look mostly neutral, only with a few extra decorations that are visible from one side.
They also don’t take a lot to make them work: Abasic tank toplike this one is all you need, but if you want something with more obvious motifs, abolder blousewith a higher neck is an option, too.
