Meanwhile, at the Through Her Lens luncheon on Tuesday, Fineman also shared her favorite thing about working with women on set.

“I just think there’s a safety and a level of trust that is really special,” she tells PEOPLE. “Also, I did a movie this summer with a female DP and a female director and, like, we didn’t yell, you know.”

She adds, “It wasn’t a lot of screaming. It was rare. I’m used to, you’re kind of like, wait and then you go to act and there’s a lot of screaming … but it was like a pretty even ship.”

“And I think that was really nice,” Fineman continues. “And also, I think, you know, there’s a level of trust that happens as an actor and, in movie-making. And I think when you have a woman who really like intrinsically understands you, magic happens.”

Saturday Night Liveseason 50 premieres Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
