Covington first went viral in 2019 whenIsabella Markel shared a photoof her and another influencer in autumn-inspired outfits captioned, “Hot Girl Summer is coming to an end, get ready for Christian Girl Autumn.”

Covington, who first began blogging as a college student in 2011, opened up to PEOPLE in September aboutsome of the pitfalls of her status as the “face of fall.”

She explained, “I do feel pressure, especially during fall because I feel like everyone looks to me for fall content. So I try to hold myself to a certain standard and brainstorm new creative ideas. I spend hours researching and planning outfits for fall. There’s a lot of pressure, and I want my videos and pictures to be well received.”

For most of her fall-themed content, she makes an annual pilgrimage to New England to take photos and videos, noting it involves months of preparation, from outfit planning to location scouting.

“The outfit planning is probably the most time-consuming part. We review various retailers, place orders, and then I spend hours trying on different outfits,” she told PEOPLE, adding that “probably around 100 hours of work” goes into each trip.

She also shared her philosophy about posting her children online. “I do share my kids on social media, but I like to do it in a positive way,” she explained. “I wouldn’t share them having a meltdown or crying — everyone has bad days. I’m careful to show them in a positive light and keep certain things private for their safety.”
