Cleveland Browns Rookie Mike Hall Jr. Charged with Domestic Violence

An NFL rookie player for theCleveland Brownswas recently hit with a domestic violence charge this week.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, Mike Hall Jr., 21, a Browns rookie defensive tackle, was arrested and charged with domestic violence in Avon, Ohio, according toThe Athletic,ESPNandNFL.com. His arrest comes after he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun on Monday evening, the Avon Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE.

After the woman completed and signed a domestic violence complaint against Hall, the police issued an arrest warrant and domestic violence charge for “knowingly caus[ing] physical harm.”

“We are aware of the incident involving Mike Hall, Jr. last night. Mike and his representatives have been in touch with the appropriate authorities. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at the time,” the statement said.

Hall was arrested on Tuesday, a police spokesperson told ESPN. His bond was set at $10,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
