Couple Dies in Motorcycle Crash, Leaving 2 Daughters Behind: ‘They Would Do Anything for Each Other’

An Illinois couple has died after a motorcycle crash on a local interstate, leaving their two daughters behind.

The couple later died at a local hospital, per the reports. They were both 29.

Cole and Morgan had been married since Oct. 17, 2020, according to their respectiveobituaries. They sharedtwo young daughterstogether, Remington and Emersyn.

More than $44,000 has been raised through aGoFundMe campaignfor funeral and other expenses.

Cole was born in Granite City, where the fatal crash occurred, while Morgan was born in Wood River, according to their obituaries.

He was a pipefitter at U.S. Steel in Granite City, and she worked in the emergency department at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Additionally, Cole was a two-time American wrestler who “received many medals and trophies” throughout his years in the sport. The “devoted and loving husband and dad” also enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his four dogs.

“He had the biggest heart, very loyal, a protector and big hugger,” the obituary said.

Morgan “was a proud and loving mom” who “loved being with family and friends,” according to her obituary.

A funeral for the couple will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, per the obituaries. The two will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

She added, “We will also instill those same qualities and their character in them.”
