Courteney Cox Consistently Counts on This Convenient Bag Style — and Jennifer Aniston Does, Too

I really try my best to avoid speaking in clichés. But thanks toCourteney Cox’s outfit, I can’t — it really knocked my socks off.

On Wednesday, August 14, theFriendsstar, 60, went on a dinner date with her daughter in a casual getup certainly worth chatting about. On top, she wore a lax button-up shirt, whichI’m unequivocally always screaming praises of, and she contrasted the look with a black crossbody bag that might have even been the same one shecarried in April. And I have to say, it was a nice refresher from thebig bags we’re seeing everywhere.

She also juxtaposed the bottom half of her outfit with light and dark elements, including her pale bootcut jeans and brown belt and shoes.

I have button-up shirts that look more stiffandones that are a bit more gauzy and breezy. I love them both for different reasons: The former, like thispoplin pickfrom Spanx (which actually has nonfunctional buttons), feels more dominant and a bit like a fashion power play when I need a confidence boost.

The latter, though, is something I’d reach for when I want the attention to go to another item of clothing. Jennifer Lawrence, who just casuallywore one with some cozy pants, is a good example of this. This top from Amazon comes in 17 colors and sizes S to XXL.

Until today, I didn’t really think I was cut out for bootcut jeans. But to be fair, I never really considered a baggier pair like Cox’s. And now that I see them, they’re honestly just like straight-leg pants above the knee but are a less intense version of wide-leg pants the further down you get. And according to one shopper, “the boot cut isn’t extreme” on these ones from Old Navy, so they’re a good pair to put out some fashion feelers. Plus, boot season is just weeks away.

I don’t have this exact bag, but I do have a few black crossbody bags that go with almost all of my outfits.
