Louis Van Amstel’s history withDancing with the Starsgoes back to the very beginning when he competed on season one with partner Trista Sutter. Over the years, he has competed on numerous seasons; his last appearance was in season 31 with partner Cheryl Ladd.

Van Amstel married Joshua Lancaster in 2017. In 2019, the pair welcomed their first son, Daniel, through adoption, and in 2020became a family of fourwith the adoption of their son Jonny.
