Dave Grohl Steps Out Without Wedding Ring After Saying He's Working to 'Regain' His Wife's Trust Following Secret Baby

The Foo Fighters rocker, 55, was photographed running errands in Encino, Calif. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, with his ring noticeably missing from his finger. The musician wore a black T-shirt and khaki pants, and had his signature long hair tied back beneath a baseball cap.

Grohl married wifeJordyn Blumin 2003, and they are parents to daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he wrote on Instagram. “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

A source told PEOPLE at the time that the rockerretained a divorce attorneybefore announcing the news.

“We keep reading over and over again how heartbroken everyone is because Dave was supposed to be the ‘good guy,' the rockstar that didn’t have to do those rockstar things," a source who knows the couple told PEOPLE. “And people are crazy about the guy, but there is a rockstar side.”

Still, the Blum source noted that she is a “great mom and very dedicated to their daughters,” and Grohl’s statement emphasized that the couple would “move forward together.”

“Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival,” the band wrote on Instagram.
