Two Domino’s employees are nowconsidered heroesafter saving an 8-year-old boy from a house fire in Oak Lawn, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.At approximately 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 7, calls began coming in with reports of a fire at Airway Mobile Home Community located on 90th Street and Cicero Avenue, perPatch.com.“We don’t believe the call came from the residence as the father and one of his sons were able to self-evacuate,” Chief Mike McMillin of the Oak Lawn Fire Department said in a statement, according to the outlet. “Two civilians were able to help the father break a window and get the other boy out.”TheChicago Tribunereported that the child’s father and another son had made it out of the mobile home, but were still attempting to get the 8-year-old out when the Domino’s employees arrived.Never miss a story — sign up forPEOPLE’s free daily newsletterto stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer​​, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.“We saw the trailer on fire and the father and his son were trying to get another son out through the trailer,” Naser Khanfar, a driver for Domino’s, said, per theTribune. “The father and I broke the windows to help take the boy outside.”Khanfar and his coworker Sara Jones were closing up their store location for the night when they saw the flames from Domino’s, both outlets reported.Firefighters extinguished the flames in around half an hour, and no injuries were reported.Acknowledging the Domino’s employees quick response, McMillin said, “It’s good that people are willing to get involved and help.”
