On Saturday, Sept. 21, theMoanaactor, 52, revealed he’d invited the Apalachee High School football team to visit him while he was filming a movie in Atlanta last week afterfour people diedand multiple were injured in the attack on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Johnson shared a carousel of pictures and videos onInstagram, showing him meeting some of the high school students.
Among the uploads, the football team cheered as Johnson walked into the room in one clip, while other photos showed the professional wrestler snapping an array of selfies.

In another picture, Johnson stood in the middle of the students while putting his fist in the air, with the group standing in front of a “We are one Apalachee” sign.
A different clip showed the kids chanting as Johnson shouted into a microphone, with other photos showing theFast & Furiousstar posing with head football coach, Mike Hancock.
“Sometimes one of the best paths to begin the healing journey is through our smiles, laughter and joy,” Johnson captioned the post. “I was blessed this past week to have the APALACHEE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM come visit me at the production soundstages I’ve been filming at here in Atlanta, Georgia.”
“As the world knows, Apalachee High School in Winder, GA, has endured the unimaginable tragedy of a mass shooting,” he added.
Johnson admitted he was “blown away” after meeting the students.

Johnson said he “can’t begin to imagine” what the “players and all the students, teachers [and] staff of Apalachee High are going through right now, but I’m here in any and every way I can be - to give my support and love to them and their families as they begin their healing journey.”
“God bless you all,” the actor concluded, writing, “We Are One Apalachee.”
He also said that he was in touch with Coach Hancock, insisting, “And as promised, I’ll be there for your first home game.”
Apalachee High School students Mason Schermerhorn, 14, and Christian Angulo, 14, as well as teachers Richard Aspinwall, 39 and Christina Irimie, 53,were killedafter shots were fired at the Winder, Ga. facility earlier this month.

Apalachee studentColt Gray, 14, has been charged with four counts of felony murder and will be tried as an adult.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
