Frankie Munizlooks back fondly on his time filmingAgent Cody Banks— and the relationships that he made along the way.
Muniz — who is “thrilled” to team up with Spirit Airlines in honor of his “experience … being in the middle” onMalcolm in the Middleand promote the company’s new#NotInTheMiddle"Go Comfy" Travel Option — shares that he developed an unlikely friendship with costarAngie Harmonwhile working on the project, a relationship that extended years beyond when the cameras stopped rolling in 2003.
“I would say some of the people who I was closest with …. actually fromCody Banks, me and Angie Harmon were best friends when we filmed the movie,” Muniz, now 38, shares. “We became so close, even though obviously I was a fair amount younger than she was, but we just had such a good time on the movie and we stayed in contact for a long time after that.”

He admits, however, that he did lose touch with costarHilary Duff, though not for any specific reason.

“Since the last day of filming, I’ve never even seen her. Never talked to her. Nothing,” the actor shares. “I’ve seen her sister [Haylie Duff], but haven’t seen her or talked to her since.”
“I’m the type of person who goes, ‘Alright, someone texted me. Oh, cool. I’ll call them later,’ or ‘I’ll text them back later.’ But then [the phone] goes down and you forget, and then a week later you go, ‘Oh, dang, I forgot to call them back.’ Or a month later or a year later, and that’s something I want to be better at,” he shares.
