Halle Berry Reveals Prince Once Asked Her on a Date via a 'Piece of Paper' at His Concert

TheNever Let Goactress, 58, appeared onJimmy Kimmel Live!for the Sept. 23 episode, where she recalled the late “Purple Rain” superstar once asked her on a date.

The Oscar winner added that Prince popped that question “sort of” in person.

“I was at one of his concerts here on Sunset at the Key Club, and he had somebody come out with a piece of paper. And you know like kids do, you say, ‘Do you like me? Yes or no.’ I went, yes! I mean, I’m at his concert, right? Yes! Came back out again: ‘Would you go out with me?’ "

Berry said she did not check a box that time. “No, I didn’t send the paper back. I kept the paper.”

Princedied in 2016 at age 57. Back in 2011, Prince presented an award to Berry at the NAACP Image Awards.

Berry toldAndscapein 2017 that Prince was her first-ever concert experience growing up. “My first concert was Prince. That man, his music changed my childhood and my teenage years,” she told the outlet. “He got me through some s—. I was a huge, admiring fan of his, and I became a friend of his during his lifetime.”

Berry, who has been married three times before, added of her connection with Hunt, 54, “It took me a minute to get it right. But the nature of the way this happened, I have a real belief that this is it. This is my person.”
