Hilary Duff Jokes It's Her 'Life's Work' to Ensure Her Daughter Banks Doesn't Have a Back-to-School Hair 'Meltdown'

Hilary Duff’sdaughter is back at school — and the actress has a new job to add to her résumé.

On Thursday, Aug. 29, theLizzie McGuirealum, 36, shared a carousel of photos onher Instagramas her daughterBanks, 5, headed to her first day of kindergarten. In the sweet snaps, Banks can be seen wearing a pleated khaki skirt, white shirt and a navy sweater, and smiling as she sported a tan backpack and boots.

Other photos show Banks holding up a sign that reads “My First Day of Kindergarten,” which also listed her favorite color as light blue, her favorite food as the Goop Kitchen pizza and noted she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

“How does she know it’s my life’s work to chase her around with the hair brush all morning to make sure we don’t have a melt down [sic] about a hair out of place????” she joked.

“My husband loves to make it seem like I’m so crazy, I’m so nuts, I’m like, ‘Let’s make our life this mayhem, chaotic place.’ But he’s just as down as me. He’s just as crazy,” she said.
