Jamie Lynn Spears Celebrates Daughter Maddie's College Decision as She Recalls Being 'Watched and Judged' While Pregnant at 16

Jamie Lynn Spears' little girl is growing up, and she’s “all in my feels” over it.

On Monday, Nov. 25, the actress, 33, announced that her older daughterMaddiehas committed to the University of Southern Mississippi to continue her academic and softball career. OnInstagram, the proud mom shared her excitement for the 16-year-old as she recalled the judgment she received during her pregnancy with Maddie at the same age.

“I did everything I could to better myself in order to be the mama she deserved, & to break those generational curses, so they weren’t passed on to her or any future generations,” she added. “I think her story is a true testament to trusting God’s will & being able to achieve whatever you’re willing to work hard for, and I couldn’t be more proud of her!”
