Jimmy Fallon Thanks Fans for His 'Great Life' as He Celebrates His 50th Birthday: 'I'm Very Lucky'

Jimmy Fallonis sending his fans a special thank you as he celebrates his 50th birthday.

On Sept. 19,The Tonight Showhost thanked fans for their support over the years in a message onX (formerly known as Twitter).

“Today I am turning 50 years old,” he wrote alongside a throwback picture of himself opening presents and sporting a birthday cone hat.

“I just want to say thank you for giving me this great life,” he shared. “I’m very lucky. I appreciate the applause, laughter, and support, whether it be at one of my shows, walking down the street, at a basketball game in France, or even stranded and lost in a Bavarian field.”

“I feel the love, and I love you back. Thank you for always supporting any new idea I have,” he added. “You believing in me makes me believe in me.”

“I am sending my birthday wish to you all for a great year to come. Thank you,” he added with the hashtag#FallonIs50.

“I’m up againstSeth Meyers,Mario LopezandMark Consuelos. Yuck!” Fallon told the audience, before he began making arguments as to why each of his competitors should concede to him.

“I’m very honored, but Seth would let me have this… He would want me to have this. He’s a younger dude — let grandpa have one thing,” Fallon joked.

After narrowing it down to Lopez and Consuelos, Fallon teased that they’re both “fine” but “I think they would let me have it as well.”

He then realized that theLive with Kelly and MarkandAccess Hollywoodhosts could “choose to be taken off the ballot,” and he delivered a message to them both to explain why they should drop out.

As part of his new morning routine, Fallon also shared that he went on to his treadmill, “which is covered in clothes,” and took his blood pressure.

Fallon laughed and said, “Is it a midlife crisis? I think it’s what you do when you’re almost 50.”

HostHoda Kotb, who turns 60 in August, then offered some words of encouragement. “By the way, Jimmy, I’m just here to tell you, 50? That whole decade? Is going to be the best decade of your life,” she said.
