Jonathan Majors' Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabbari Drops Assault and Defamation Lawsuit Against Actor

Jonathan Majors' ex-girlfriend,Grace Jabbari,has dropped her assault and defamation lawsuit against him.
Brad Edwards, a lawyer for Jabbari, said in a statement to PEOPLE Nov. 22, “We’re glad this case has been resolved and this chapter is closed so that Grace can now move forward and begin to heal.”
The agreement comes afterJabbari filed the civil lawsuit against Majors in the Southern District of New York in March.

In the lawsuit, Jabbari claimed that Majors exhibited a “pattern of pervasive domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023.”
One of the alleged incidents occurred in September 2022. Jabbari alleged Majors threw her up against the hood of her car, brought her inside their home, and “started hitting her head against the marble floor while strangling her until she felt she could no longer breathe,” after an argument the prior day.
“After the incident, Majors texted Grace asking her not to tell anyone about what had occurred. Ignoring the pain that her body was in as a result of the violence that he inflicted against her, Majors expressed concern over his career,” the lawsuit further alleges, adding that Majors was afraid of being investigated.

Jabbari filed the lawsuit after the actor wasfound guiltyof misdemeanor assault in the third degree, recklessly causing physical injury, as well asharassment in the second degreelast December, in a criminal case that stemmed from analleged fightbetween the both of them in March 2023.
The actor was found not guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury and misdemeanor aggravated harassment in the second degree in that case.

Jabbari claimed in her March lawsuit that she was defamed “following his conviction and prior to sentencing” when Majors “participated in an exclusive interview with ABC News wherein he doubled down on his public attack of Grace, claiming that she is lying about the entire pattern of abuse she has described, as he has ‘never laid [his] hands on a woman.’ "
