Friends who get glam together, stay together!
Chiles has previously shared thesignificance of wearing full glamduring competition to look and feel like her most confident self in those high-pressured moments, so stepping — nay, flipping— into the spotlight on the world’s biggest stage in Paris was no different.
Typically, Chiles, turns to herolder sister Jazminto get glam for occasions both in and out of the gym — however, the athlete tells PEOPLE that she “unfortunately” couldn’t do her makeup at the Olympics “because she wasn’t allowed to go into the Village.”

Therefore, Chiles had to take makeup matters into her own hands — and even turned to her gymnastics “big sister” Biles for some inspiration! “I think we were trying a lot of things,” Chiles, 23, tells PEOPLE of getting ready withher fellow “Golden Girl” teammateahead of Olympic competition.
“We were just kind of bouncing ideas off of each other,” Chiles continues. “[Biles] was like, ‘Ooh, do I need to put more blush here?’ and I was like, ‘Do I need to put more highlight here?'” She points out that Biles was “using Milani a lot” in her makeup looks.
“I was like, okay, miss Milani Queen! I see you with the bronzer … with the blushes!” Chiles, with a laugh, recalls of their conversations before their routines.
They also shared a product or two. “I think I did take some of her lip gloss or something like that,” she remembers. “I was like, ‘Hey, can I use this real quick?'”

“I really enjoyed it,” Chiles says of getting glam with Biles, 27, at the Olympics. “I did her hair a couple of times, so that was really cool,” she reveals.
However, Chiles says that Biles’ “did not do my hair” at the Olympics. Chiles adds, “We had fun in the Village.”

While the girls enjoyed their glam process ahead of competition at the Olympics, Chiles makes known that her “routine is not very long” on non-competition days. “It starts with a wash, ends with a moisturizer… two products,” she says.
Chiles admits she had to “figure out” that simplified process overtime having used “a bunch of stuff for no reason” when she was younger. “I realized that a cleanser and a moisturizer was just the best fit,” she says, which is what makes her partnership with Vaseline so natural.
“I’ve used Vaseline ever since I was little… Literally slathered it all over my body head to toe,” Chiles tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“I was beyond excited to partner with them because as an athlete and a gymnast, we don’t want things greasy — and with the lotion, it gives you this glamorous glow,” she says of the brand’s latest product,Pro VitaB3 Serum-Burst Lotion. “It’s not greasy, it moisturizes, it does everything.”

That’s because Vaseline Pro VitaB3 Serum-Burst Lotion is the brand’s first-ever serum-burst format, transforming into water droplets upon application and absorbing instantly to leave behind smooth, hydrating finish.
“Every single time I come out the shower, every single time I take chalk off my body, I use the Vaseline lotion to make sure my body [feels] nice,” Chiles says. “I like keeping my skin hydrated, whether it’s inside or outside… so incorporating Vaseline was easy to me.”
“I use it for my lips… I use it for my tattoos. I use it for scars. I use it literally for everything,” she continues. “So having this partnership, I just feel amazing.”
