Joshua Jackson Shares Rare Comments About His Daughter Juno: 'So Thankful That I Get to Be Your Dada'

Joshua Jacksonis gushing over his daughter!

On Monday, Sept. 2, the actor, 46,recounted a sweet momenthe recently shared with his 4-year-old daughter Juno as he opened up about the joys of fatherhood in a rare candid moment on Instagram.

Sharing a photo of him smiling at the camera while wearing a colorful beaded necklace, Jackson wrote, “…I wanted to share the story of that photo. This morning after breakfast I told my daughter I was going to go do some yard work. She asked if she could come with me, which is of course a yes.”

“…We were just about to step outside when she said, ‘Daddy, I think inside play is what I need right now’… So I leave her with her granny and go do my dad therapy in the yard,” he explained. “And when I come back in, she presents me with this necklace. And tells me, ‘dada I wanted to stay inside so I could make you a necklace.’ ”

Jackson said he then asked his daughter to take a photo of him in the necklace before sharing the touching comment she made. “While she was snapping the photos she says, ‘It’s good for you to have a photo so you can always remember that I love you.’ "

Jackson shares Juno with his ex-wife, actressJodie Turner-Smith. Turner-Smith, 37, filed fordivorce from the actor after five years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences, in October 2023.

Speaking to his daughter, he continued in the post, “Little one, if you see this when you are old enough to read — get off Instagram immediately. And also, I know. And I love you too. And I am so thankful that I get to be your dada.”

The actor then praised all parents “whether with a partner, solo, with a village of blood relatives or chosen family” in raising their children.

“…Keep up the great work,” he wrote. “I know it’s not all grace notes like I got today, but you’re doing great and I think just maybe the kids are alright. (And I hope you caught up on sleep over the long weekend…I know I did).”
