Kailyn Lowryis grateful for the latest chapter in her professional life.

Lowry is now taking her talents on tour withBarely F——Touring, which features Lowry and special guests that highlight all of the podcasts on her own KILLR Podcast Network. In addition to her three shows, the network also hostsVibin and Kinda Thrivinwith Rivera and Alessandra Gonzalez.

Speaking with PEOPLE after her first tour date, Lowry reflects on evolving alongside the podcasting landscape over the last seven years.

“It’s truly like therapy. Having all of these podcasts is like therapy, right? I connect with each of my co-hosts very differently. And then when I go on tour, I get to talk to anyone that listens to the podcast,” she tells PEOPLE.

“It feels like therapy. And we’re all just this big girl gang community of girls supporting girls. And I absolutely love it.”

Lowry is equally enamored with the relationships she shares with her co-hosts, Chrisley and Rivera.

“I’ve absolutely loved the evolution of Kail and Lindsie and the evolution of Kail and Vee. And in hindsight, I think about all the bumps in the road and all the challenges that we’ve overcome. And I look back and I’m sort of grateful for them because it put us where we are today.”

Lowry says that she loves that people recognize that “Lindsie and I are an odd pairing.”

“People are not wrong when they think, why are Kail and Lindsie, why did they do this podcast? They couldn’t be more different, which I think is kind of cool because we balance each other out. And while we are really different, we are so similar. Being that we didn’t know each other when we signed the contract to do this podcast together, I think it’s really cool to see actually how much we are alike.”

Throughout their “really cool journey” together, Lowry has felt strongly that “Lindsie is truly like a sister to me.”

“And so just like sisters, you see a lot of differences, but there are so many similarities that I think that people and ourselves really couldn’t have predicted.”

“Vee and I absolutely have growing pains, but it’s been such a great journey. I’ve gotten to know her as a person, not just as a co-parent, not just as my son’s stepmom,” Lowry notes.

“That’s been really cool, in bonding in womanhood and having that support. This journey with Vee has been really incredible and we have taken steps backward, but we always keep going forward and progressing. Even when we take some steps backward, we bounce back.”

Lowry says it was a surprisingly emotional experience when she stepped on stage for the tour’s first stop in Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 17.

“My first tour date ever was in Columbus and it was incredible. I truly didn’t know what to expect and immediately leaving the doors to enter and walking on stage, I got so overwhelmed with emotion and just gratitude and just being thankful for where I am,” she admits.

“I was actually crying when I went out there. And I don’t know if it was nerves or what, but it was really, really cool.”

“It was really, really cool to see the growth of girls and supporting each other in the same industry. I feel like it’s kind of unique and not something that everyone can do, so it’s an aspect I really appreciate,” she says. “At the end, I got to interact with some of the people for the meet and greet, and it was just really awesome to kind of put a face to all the listeners.”

As for what’s next, Lowry is looking forward to, “Making myself available for people who want to start their own podcast and develop a show under my network. Hopefully going into 2025, we’ll just continue to do that for the podcast and do more book stuff. I’m really excited for the book thing. I think that the podcast and books is where I’m at and where I’m content right now.”

Fans can catch Lowry, along with different co-hosts, on the rest ofBarely F——Touring.
