Kate Hudson Celebrates Her Daughter Rani’s 6th Birthday with Sweet Instagram Post: 'Libra Lady'

Kate Hudsonis ringing in a special occasion!

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the proud mother shared a sweet post onInstagramto celebrate her youngest child turning 6 years old.

In the carousel of photos, Hudson, 45, included a look at her daughter Rani’s birthday festivities, along with recent snaps of her with friends and family.

“My beautiful, fun, courageous, caring, empathetic, silly, happy lady,” she captioned the post. “6 years have flown 🦋 we celebrate your joie de vivre! Today and everyday! Libra Lady 🎂🎈Happy happy birthday 🎊.”

The first image shows Rani dressed in a sparkly hot pink outfit while she held a pink balloon in the shape of the number six over her face. The young girl peeked her head through the circle of the number as she smiled and showed off her face paint.

The post continues with a second picture of Rani at her birthday party. In it, she held the large balloon to the side and hugged a colorful stuffed animal to her chest. Next is a sweet selfie of Rani and Hudson at a sporting event. The child wore a white and red jersey for the outing while her mom rocked a stylish pair of sunglasses.

The carousel also included snapshots of Rani’s favorite activities as it showed her painting, knitting, playing pretend with a friend and going on an outdoor excursion.

Towards the end of the set is an image of Rani and her father,Danny Fujikawa, as they sat next to each other at a restaurant. The photo shows Fujikawa, 38, looking at their daughter as she smiled and gazed toward the ceiling.

Wrapping up the post, the final two pics show Rani enjoying a large ice cream dessert and flashing a thumbs up to the camera.

Earlier this year, Hudson opened up about her daughter in aMay cover story with PEOPLE, saying, “She’s the best. She’s so magical. She’s definitely her mother’s daughter. It takes her forever to get out of the house. She’s very particular about her wardrobe and her clothes and her vibe.”

The actress continued, “She is just a total firecracker, but then she’s much more emotional than I think I was when I was little. She’s much more of an empath where I was like, yeah. She’s just very empathetic and emotional.”
