Kate MiddletonandPrincess Charlotteare one tight mother-daughter team, and that dynamic shined in the Princess of Wales' new video announcing that shecompleted chemotherapy treatment.
Princess Kate, 42, had lots of one-on-one moments with Princess Charlotte, 9, in thevideo message, which offered an unprecedented glimpse into the Wales family’s private life. The Princess of Wales' announcement about the “relief” of completing chemotherapy and herplans for the coming monthswas shared along with footage of Princess Kate withPrince Williamand their children,Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte andPrince Louis, 6, exploring the great outdoors. Kate and Charlotte were seen close together in almost all the family scenes.
“Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown,” Princess Kate said in message, which was interspersed over footage of two family walks where she and Charlotte held hands.
The royal mom wrapped her arm around her only daughter as they shared a close chat in another snippet, and they sat next to each other during thefriendly card gamewith Princess Kate’s parents,CaroleandMichael Middleton, as well as a picnic beneath a tree, where they hugged.

The three-minute clip closed with video of Kate and Charlotte holding hands as they skipped in the surf on a beach together, where playful George and Louis looked totally soaked.
“She won’t have to be on center stage,” a palace insider told PEOPLE about how Princess Kate could relax at the royal family’s summer sanctuary in the Scottish Highlands. “Being with her family and just being herself will give her energy. There will be plenty of time to focus on her recovery.”
Kate made two public appearances this year after announcing in March that she was receiving cancer treatment. She joined her family atTrooping the Colouron June 15 to celebrate King Charles' official birthday as sovereign, and attendedWimbledonwith Princess Charlotte and her sisterPippa Middletonone month later.
A highlight of the trio’s appearance at the tennis championships was the look of love Charlotte gave her mother when she walked into the stadium to a standing ovation.
Karwai Tang was the photographer who captured the sweet moment and told PEOPLE about the family outing, “You can tell that all three of them were enjoying themselves — Charlotte is following the game like her mother. You can see their excitement.”

In a revelation abouttheir life at home, Princess Kate later told men’s singles final champCarlos Alcarazof Spain that her family tuned into tennis on television!
“We’ve watched a lot on telly, so it’s great to finally get to meet you,” Kate told Alcaraz in the Wimbledon club house when she, Charlotte and Pippa popped in after the match.
Along with an appreciation for the great outdoors, Prince William and Princess Kate seem to have passed their passion for sports to their three kids.
