Kate Middleton Is Back in the Gym and 'Doing All the Things She Wanted' After Completing Chemo

Kate Middletonis reportedly resuming her go-to workout routine after completingchemotherapy treatment.

Since the Princess of Wales, 42,announced on Sept. 9that she had completed chemotherapy, royal author Robert Jobson reports that she’s now back at the gym, returning to her regular routine after firstrevealing her cancer treatment in March.

“From what I understand, Catherine is doing very well. She is back training at the gym and doing all the things she wanted to do,” Jobson toldHello!in a Nov. 4 interview.

“I do think that we will start to see a lot more of her, and that she will carry out engagements as well as continuing to work behind the scenes,” added the author ofCatherine, the Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queen.

Princess Kate is known for her varied workout routines, which includecold swimming,tennis, interval training and more, as well asjumping on the trampolineand staying active with her childrenPrince George, 11,Princess Charlotte, 9, andPrince Louis, 6.

She also typicallyparticipates in sportsduring royal engagements whenever the opportunity arises.

“There are no blow-dries—it’s always hair up in a ponytail,” a friend previously told PEOPLE about Princess Kate’sprivate world. “She’s either in her gym clothes, or a dress and sneakers, very little makeup, apologizing as she’s late for the school run before dashing off. It’s the life of a working mom with three young children—just a different sort of day job to most.”

Though the Princess of Wales is a full-time working royal alongside her husband,Prince William, she reprioritized her calendar in 2024 to focus on her health after announcing in March that she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Though Kate described it as a “relief” to have completed chemo in the Sept. 9 video, she is not expected to fully resume royal duties anytime soon.

“She had a lovely summer and is very focused on her wellbeing. She is definitely going to bedoing less,” a source in her circle previously told PEOPLE.

Princess Kate attended two public events between the March and September announcements — Trooping the Colour in June and Wimbledon in July — and has appeared at several other events since sharing that she completed chemo.

“The Princess of Wales broke off and came back into the building to give a hug to the people who responded because she could see the emotion in them and could see it was difficult for them to relay their feelings and to say how impactful events have been,” Merseyside chief fire officer Phil Garrigan toldThe Sunof Princess Kate’s warm move towards first responders she and William met with to hear about their experiences responding to the Southport stabbing

“I think that just shows a really caring side and is very touching for them,” Garrigan said.

Behind the scenes, the Princess of Wales has also beenholding meetings with her teamto organize a fourth edition of her Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey, which PEOPLE confirmed will happen in December.

She also plans to join the royal family at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday, Nov. 10.
