Kevin Bacon Shares a Personal Message onThe Masked Singer'sFootlooseNight (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE’s exclusive preview of the singing competition’sFootloosenight,Kevin Baconappears to share a special message in honor of the iconic film’s 40th anniversary.
“We got a very personal message from the man himself, Mr. Footloose, check it out,” hostNick Cannonsays before calling him “the real Bacon.”
“Hey, Masked Singer! Kevin Bacon here. Wow, [the] 40th anniversary ofFootloose, and you are honoringFootlooseon that show,” the 66-year-old actor says. “That is so cool, and I was so honored to have been in the movie 40 years ago.”
“But let me just say something you know from my heart,” he adds before reciting the lyrics to Kenny Loggins' hit song, “Footloose,” from the 1984 film’s soundtrack.
In addition to Bacon’s message, fans can expectThe Masked Singerto pull out all the stops when it comes to their celebration ofFootloose.

JudgeRobin Thickewill kick off the show with his own rendition of Loggins’ “Footloose,” with fellow panelistsRita Ora,Ken JeongandJenny McCarthydancing along.
Four stars from Group A will also be taking the stage to perform fan-favorite songs from the film’s soundtrack.

Earlier this year, Baconreturned to the Utah high schoolwhere he shot the movie in 1984. After the students of Payson High School put on adedicated campaignto bring the movie star back to their town, Bacon finally obliged, visiting Payson on April 20. “Be good to each other — and don’t forget to cut loose,” the actor said to students attending that night’s prom.
Noting how it is the 40th anniversary sinceFootloosewas released, Bacon told those in attendance at the event, “It’s been 40 years. I mean, that just blows my mind. Things look a little different around here. I’d say the thing that looks the most different is me.”
