On Aug. 5, 2022, PEOPLE confirmedKim KardashianandPete Davidsonbroke upafter nine months of dating.

“Part of the reason they split was because of their busy schedules,” an insider told PEOPLE. “They both travel all the time and it was hard.”

KardashianandDavidsonwereamong the couplesthat NBC’sSaturday Night Livebrought together, following the reality star’s stint on the comedian’s home turf in October 2021.

Not only did she make her hosting debut on the hit comedy show, but she tried her hand at acting in a few sketches too, including one opposite Davidson, who joined the cast in 2014. The two played Aladdin and Jasminein a scene that ended with a kiss.

The two continued to spend time together after Knott’s Scary Farm. Kardashian traveled to Davidson’s native Staten Island, New York, to have dinner atCampania, an Italian restaurant.

November 21, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson enjoy romantic dinner in Los Angeles

A source told PEOPLE that they arrived at the restaurant holding hands and “were both in a great mood.”

“They sat very close to each other and Kim kept giggling,” the insider said. “He was very pleasant and ordered a lot of food for them. They shared several pasta dishes. He had his arm around Kim and they were very flirty. You could tell that Kim had the best time. They very much acted like a couple.”

November 27, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson grab breakfast together in Beverly Hills

Dutch music journalist Paul Barewijk stumbled upon thecouple having a breakfast date at the Beverly Hills Hoteland was lucky enough to snag a few photos. Barewijk told PEOPLE via Instagram that he ran into the pair during his vacation in L.A. from Amsterdam.

“They looked happy, sat close to each other and walked away together,” Barewijk said of the duo. “It looked like a date to me,” he added, saying that the couple stuck around for a few minutes before leaving.

After spending some quality time in Davidson’s city of New York,Kardashian celebrated Christmas with her kids, without theSNLstar.

“She had a good trip to New York,” an insider told PEOPLE. “Pete took Kim to some of his favorite places. She had fun. Kim is celebrating Christmas with the kids and won’t see Pete.”

But while they didn’t spend the holiday together, Davidson remained in L.A. with Kardashian — and a second source told PEOPLE that he planned on staying there until Christmas.

January 5, 2022: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson vacation in the Bahamas

The pair kicked off the New Year with a short trip to the Bahamas.Davidson and Kardashian were spotted enjoying a boat triptogether and appeared to be in good spirits with big smiles on their faces.

February 7, 2022: Pete Davidson calls Kim Kardashian his ‘girlfriend’ for the first time

“Well, I don’t really have Instagram — I don’t have Instagram or Twitter or any of that stuff. So, most of my daily life is getting into cars and showing up to a set,” the comedian said.

“Or, if I’m off, I just either hang with my friends or chill with my girlfriend inside. So I don’t do much,” he continued, referring to Kardashian with the title publicly for the first time.

February 2022: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson celebrate first Valentine’s Day

One photo showed the pair laying on the floor as Davidson leaned back into Kardashian’s lap and looked up at his girlfriend. The other photo featured Kardashian and Davidson in a blurry, black and white selfie.

“Whose car are we gonna take?!” Kardashian captioned the slideshow, which also included photos of her in a sparkly coat and silver thigh-high boots.

June 2, 2022: Kim Kardashian reveals who made the first move in her relationship with Pete Davidson

The reality star finallyaddressed her romance with Davidson for the first timeduring an episode ofThe Kardashians, and also shared who initiated things first.

“So, this is how it went down with Pete. I didSNL, and thenwhen we kissed in scene, it was just a vibe,” she explained. “And I was like, ‘Oh, s—. Maybe I just need to try something different!'”

Although she reached out to producers in October 2021, Davidson actually inquired sooner.

Kardashian and Davidson jetted off to Tahiti for a romantic getaway,during which Davidson passed the all-important “content taking boyfriend test.” The SKKN mogul posted some silly selfies, a few bikini shots and a steamy smooch in the water in the photos which she captioned “Beach for 2”.

“It’s their first summer as a couple and they are having a blast,“a source told PEOPLE of their vacation. “They were in Tahiti for several days without the kids. Kim is head over heels. She can’t get enough of Pete. He treats her so well. He is protective, super supportive and just a great guy for Kim. She is the happiest.”

June 21, 2022: Kim Kardashian says Pete Davidson had to teach her aboutSaturday Night Live

Kardashian admitted during an interview onThe Tonight Showthat she had never watched an episode ofSNLprior to hosting the sketch comedy show on Oct. 9 last year.

“I was nervous for a second because, I have to be honest, I had never seenSNLbefore,” she told hostJimmy Fallon. “I had gone to one taping ofEddie Murphy[in 2019], and I had gone backstage.”

PEOPLE confirmed the pair splitin early August, as Davidson was filming in Australia and Kardashian continued her work and family life in L.A.

Aug. 8, 2022: Sources tell PEOPLE that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s relationship “ran its course”

Reconciliation is “not in the cards” for Kardashian and Davidson, assources revealed to PEOPLEjust days after the news of the couple’s “amicable split” broke.

“They’ve definitely been slowing down,” one insider said. “Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed.”

Davidson has been busy filming a movie in Australia, while Kardashian continues to run a multi-billion-dollar empire and raise four kids.

“Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup,” the insider continued. “They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course.”

October 2022: Fans suspect Pete Davidson removed his tattoo dedicated to Kim Kardashian

Davidson was spotted on the set ofBupkisin New York with abandage underneaththe top of his shirt. Some suspect the bandage was proof Davidson had started the process of removing his “my girl is a lawyer” tattoo, which was dedicated to Kardashian.

However, a source close to Davidson told PEOPLE that’s not the case. “While he continues to remove his tattoos, that image is from set and not related to removing the lawyer tattoo,” the insider said.

October 6, 2022: Kim Kardashian talks about Pete Davidson dating “hot girls”

Kardashian reflected on whywomen are attractedto Davidson onThe Kardashians. “Pete has the best heart,” she explained in an episode, which was filmed when the two were still together. “I feel like people, they have this, like, idea of him that he dates all these hot girls. And he does. But he’s just the sweetest, most thoughtful person.”

She also spoke about her then-boyfriend’s interest ingoing to space. When the episode was filmed, Davidson was set to join Blue Origin’s 20th mission to space, though he ultimatelydidn’t end up going. In the episode, Kardashian admitted she was initially unsure about the trip. “Jeff Bezosinvited Pete to go to space,” the SKIMS founder said. “I really can’t believe it — that he’s gonna go. It seems like such a scary concept to me.”

After talking with Bezos about the safety of the trip, she said she felt comfortable with Davidson blasting off, though she wasn’t planning to join the journey. “If I didn’t have four kids, I would absolutely go,” she said.

October 13, 2022: Kim Kardashian shares that she and Pete Davidson had fireplace sex

While chatting with her grandma, Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon, on an episode ofThe Kardashians, Kardashian shared that she and Davidson had fireplace sex at the Beverly Hills Hotel in L.A.

“Pete and I were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend, and we were sitting in front of the fireplace, just talking for hours, and I was like, ‘My grandma told me that you really live life when you have sex in front of the fireplace,’ and sowe had sex in front of the fireplace in honor of you,” the SKIMS founder told her grandmother.

Kardashian added: “But how creepy to think about your grandma before you have sex?”

During the same episode,Kris Jennergushed about Davidson in a confessional.

“Pete is amazing. No drama, no stress, he’s just Pete,” she said. “[He] fits in with the family. I think Kim is happy, she laughs, she’s more confident, Pete brings out the best in her.”

January 2023: Pete Davidson removes tattoos dedicated to Kim Kardashian

Photographers captured Davidson walking shirtless on a beach in Hawaii with his new love interest, Chase Sui Wonders. The photos indicate that all of hisKardashian-related tattoos have been completely removed, including the “my girl is a lawyer” ink and his “Kim” branding.
