Lauryn Hill and the Fugees Quietly Cancel Miseducation Anniversary Tour: Report

It looks like music fans will have to wait a little longer to celebrate the anniversary ofThe Miseducation of Lauryn Hilllive.

Ms. Lauryn Hilland the Fugees quietly canceled their co-headlining extension of the Miseducation Anniversary tour, which was set to kick off on Aug. 9 and reuniteWyclef JeanandPras Michelwith the “Ex Factor” singer,perVariety.

According to the outlet, ticket holders had received messages from Live Nation on Aug. 6 saying, “Your event has been canceled. A refund will be on its way to your account soon.”

A reason for the cancellation has not yet been given. Reps for the band and for Live Nation did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The “Ready or Not” performer, 49, had previouslypostponed the tour in November 2023due to vocal issues.

In June, Hillannounced the news on Instagramthat the Fugees would be heading out on a 21-date tour, which would feature music fromThe Miseducation of Ms. Lauryn Hill,The Scoreand more.

She shared a tour poster with the caption: “The Celebration Continues…”

The shows were set to kick off on Aug. 9 in Tampa, Florida. The artists were supposed to perform in major cities throughout the United States and make international stops in London, Paris and Amsterdam.

Hill’s son YG Marley was supposed to appear as a special guest at each concert, and more special guests were to be announced at a later date.

When the “Doo Wop” singer announced that the remainder of her 25th anniversary tour would be postponed due to her vocal issues in November, she posted a lengthy Instagram post to fans describing her health condition.

She continued: “I’ve loved sharing the stage again with Wyclef and Pras. The Return of the Fugees has been powerful and amazing — those who’ve witnessed it can testify.”

Hill then went onto describe how she had been treating her “serious vocal strain.”
