Defense attorneys for theman accused of killing two teenage girlson an Indiana hiking trail in 2017 filed a motion to allow them to present a theory thatOdinists, members of a pagan religion linked with White nationalism, actually committed the murders.

Allen was arrested and charged in 2022, five years after the murders, with police saying they’d searched his home and found several knives and a gun that was allegedly linked to a bullet found at the scene, according to theAssociated Press. He has pleaded not guilty.

“… the sticks on the girls appear to be arranged in a pattern/arrangement or (at a minimum) using a person’s own eyeballs, common sense, logic and reason could cause a reasonable person to believe that the sticks were formed into some pattern/arrangement and weren’t being used to conceal the bodies,” the filing stated, according to the outlet.
